Client: Kelham Island Museum
Location: Sheffield
Chris Brammall was commissioned by client Kelham Island Museum to design, manufacture and install several directional and information signs around the Island. The design is inspired by the utilitarian heritage depicting the robust legacy of steel in Sheffield. The engineering drawings from the historical archive at the museum also inspired the design following the shadows and interlocking plates.
The signs were manufactured in Corten (also known as weathering steel) which compliments the design elements and also the environment surroundings.
